LDPE - Low Density Polyethylene

LDPE is an abbreviation for low density polyethylene. This polymer has a lower density and a more flexible structure compared to high density polyethylene (HDPE). LDPE is a type of polymer used in the manufacture of many products such as plastic films, bags, packaging, bottle caps, containers, pipes and wires. It is also preferred for daily use items such as food storage bags, garbage bags, purse and medical supplies.

LDPE is resistant to temperature changes and chemicals. It is waterproof and not affected by moisture. However, it has a lower melting point compared to HDPE and is more prone to wear, tear and puncture. LDPE is a recyclable material. Therefore, it is considered an environmentally friendly option.

LDPE (low density polyethylene) is used for many industrial and commercial applications. Some examples are:

  • Plastic films and bags: LDPE is a common material for packaging food, clothing and other materials. It is also used for garbage bags, bags and other bags.
  • Food storage containers: LDPE is also an ideal material for containers and lids used for food storage.
  • Containers: LDPE is also preferred for containers used for the storage and transportation of liquids and chemicals.
  • Medical materials: LDPE is a material used in the production of medical supplies, and is especially used in products for sterilization and protection.
  • Insulation materials: LDPE is also used as insulation materials. For example, it is used for insulation of building walls, roofs and pipes.
  • Agriculture sector: LDPE is a material that is also used in the agricultural sector. It is especially used in greenhouse construction.

The usage areas of LDPE are quite wide and varied. This material is an ideal material for many applications due to its flexibility, durability, resistance to moisture and environmentally friendly properties.
